IEEE NMDC 2011 which will be held from October 18th through 21th at Jeju Island of Korea. Recently, nanotechnology has become ever more important for the global economic growth and sustainability since nanotechnology has become the most important key base technology for developing technologies for information, life science, energy, and the environment. The IEEE NMDC 2011 conference will cover important topics including Graphene-Based Materials and Devices; Materials and Devices for Nanoelectronics and Nano-Optics; Applications of  Nanotechnology for Energy, Environment, Bio-Medicines, and Structural Materials; and Characterization and Simulation of Nanomaterials.

Over the last ten years, Korea has become one of the most active nations in the world in R&D activities for nanotechnology development. This year, IEED NMDC 2011 will provide a unique opportunity of establishing broad interaction for nanotechnology R&D between the participants from Korea and all over the world. On top of that, Jeju will provide the participants with opportunities of enjoying the natural beauty of the volcanic island including pristine seas and fantastic rock cliffs, and wide green meadows grazing with horses.
