AAFA's Social Responsibility Committee is traveling to the West Coast for the first time to bring AAFA members one of the best Social Responsibility Committee meetings ever, with updates and discussions on key social compliance issues impacting you and your company.

The meeting, graciously hosted by UL-STR Responsible Sourcing, will feature a presentation by one of the authors of California's Transparency in Supply Chains Act (SB 657). With implementation of this new law on January 1st, the meeting will also build on our previous meetings with an in-depth, detailed discussion on company best practices as companies endeavor to comply with SB 657.  The meeting will also include presentations focusing on BSR's newly released Good Practices for Complying With Licensors' Social and Environmental Requirements: A Practical Guide for Licensees as well as updates on the Bangladesh fire safety issue and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act & the UK Anti-Bribery With final regulations on conflict minerals expected to be published any day, the meeting will feature a discussion on the impact of conflict minerals on the apparel and footwear industry and how your company can prepare for the new rules.
