Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT 2012) is part of Messe Frankfurt’s architecture and technology shows, headed by the biennial Light+Building event in Frankfurt. GEBT 2012 is composed of “Building and Home Automation” and “Electrical Engineering”, with the 'Green Building' strategic policy under the Chinese government’s 12th Five-year plan together with the country’s rising living standards and the responsible for the move towards a safe, comfortable, energy-saving and sustainable building environment. The show runs concurrently with Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition - now the world's most influential lighting show, which is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd.
The combined shows attracted 100,465 visitors, an increase of 40% compared to attendance for the 2010 show, for meeting over 2,930 renowned local and international exhibitors in the premier industry platform for sourcing the latest advanced products and providing the energy efficiency solutions of the Lighting control systems, Safety and access control systems, Audio and video systems, Air conditioning and cooling systems, Systems integration, Generic cabling systems, etc in all aspects of the building and home automation as well as the electrical engineering industries.
