The OIC Halal Middle East Exhibition & Congress, which has succeeded in unlocking the true potential of the regional halal market through its past three editions, is set to gain more importance.
The UAE move to introduce a label to certify halal products will make the show one of the first access points for global and regional halal players to gain insights into latest policy updates in a market that is a gateway to the entire Middle East and North Africa region.
Besides, with the UAE leading the inaugural Global Islamic Economy Indicator, a composite index that presents the health of Islamic economy sectors across 70 core countries, the show will be a ready reckoner on macro and micro fundamentals that drive the halal economy.
The fourth edition of OIC Halal ME will take advantage of a slew of halal standardisation measures and the pre-eminence of the country as an Islamic economic hub and will act as your entry point to a booming halal market.
EXPANDING SCOPE
Halal ME was launched as a halal show focusing on food and beverages. By the second edition, it added a series of specialized workshops, and also a complementary show -- Kitchen Equipment & Technology Middle East Exhibition.
For the third edition in 2014, the show widened its scope by bringing halal pharmaceuticals, halal services, ingredients and finance in its exhibit profile.
Now, for its fourth edition, the show will have a special focus area – halal cosmetics.
