PHOTON, the world's leading PV publisher, invites manufacturers and installers of solar modules and inverters to attend our 1st PV SAFETY Conference in San Francisco on Feb. 15 - a unique opportunity to learn the latest about quality control and safety of photovoltaic power systems at a time ordinary media channels increasingly report about safety issues of PV systems.

Fires of solar systems on buildings, recalls for modules and inverters due to injury hazards - as the solar sector even accelerates its rapid growth, ordinary media outlets in the large solar markets in America and Europe are increasingly reporting about potential hazards of solar. While the number of such incidents has been rather small so far, a severe future problem might harm the whole solar sector. For example, there were already incidents where fire fighters refrained from extinguishing a fire as they feared potential hazards from solar rooftop modules.

PHOTON has invited leading experts from the solar industry, standard organizations and fire fighters to discuss the challenges and threats of potential safety issues around solar as well as offering a platform to present solutions - from high quality control standards to technical devices.
