Mi Milano Prêt-à-Porter, the women’s prêt-à-porter international trade fair (26th February – 1st March) closes with a total of 7,223 professionals (6% up on the February 2009 edition). Of particular interest, an increased return of foreign buyers from Japan, South Korea and Russia, plus the European buyer presence held steady.

“We are satisfied with the outcome and pleased with the general ambience felt over the four days, but we must do more – stated Enrico Pazzali, Fiera Milano’s managing director. “Trade fairs are a vital tool for supporting the various industry divisions.  Sadly in the case of fashion, trade fair set-up is much fragmented, at the expense of the well-being of the entire sector. So we must think in terms of systems, and unite strengths to work together in supporting our businesses and helping them better face the marketplace”.

The great interest shown in the Amazonlife Project should be noted. In an area open to all trade fair visitors, 35 photographs and a film relative to the Amazonlife project brand were displayed.
