Over the past decade, HR has moved away from being a solely administrative function to play a more strategic role.

The emergence of the knowledge economy and supportive technologies has helped HR to drive that change, as has the realisation that the speed of change in the business world demands that organisations respond quickly with appropriately trained staff. According to a PwC Survey (24/02/2011), 83% of the 1,200 CEOs surveyed globally plan to change their firm’s Talent Management strategy over the next 12 months. This means that talent is now more important to business leaders than risk and investment.
