The Youth Book Fair is the only show of its kind in Belgium.
If it is a priori for children 0 to 16 years and their parents and grandparents, it is also the meeting place of all book professionals and children. Installed in the hall neighbor Salon Education, therefore it hosts a large number of teachers.
The Salon is one of the flagship activities of Fury Read Commumauté French. It is organized in collaboration with many organizations and associations: the IBBY (International Board on Books for Young people), the APBD (Ass. Professional Librarians, Documentalists - Youth Section), the FIBBC (International Federation of Diocesan Library Catholics and librarians) Contalyre, Section Francophone Belgian IBBY (International Board on Books for Young people), the League of Families (Price Versele), the Central Library of the Province of Namur, Namur Main Municipal Library, the French Community, the Journal des Enfants, students Library and Documentation HENAM, Department of Malonne (and their teachers) ... and publishers present. All proposed activities are organized by the association and the team Contalyre Book Fair Youth.
The Fair brings together a number of professionals who, through their efforts, contribute throughout the year to promote the verb "read." Professionals who know the issues, who have decided to devote their talent and their passion for the show which is a form of recognition. They invite you to come and meet them at the show. Together, these speakers offer nearly 300 hours of entertainment on five days! An animation capacity of more or less 8,000 children. Furthermore animations authors, storytellers, publishers ... presenting their innovations, booksellers youth guide the visitor and advise in a profusion of titles, genres, authors, ...
