RHS London Autumn Harvest Show 2010

For the first time RHS Chelsea Show Manager, Alex Denman, will be turning her talents to the RHS London Autumn Harvest Show, to organise a floral and foodie feast where visitors can see, taste and buy some of the wonders of the season.

Commenting on the London show, Alex Denman, says: “I love fruit and vegetables and this show is a fantastic chance to show off the season’s finest.

“It’s been great organising a more intimate event, where I’ve been able to include interactive displays to demonstrate great gardening ideas and fun elements like apple-bobbing.”

Autumn is a perfect time for planting and nurserymen and growers will demonstrate the art of creating stunning hanging baskets, pot containers and patio features, so visitors go home inspired to make more of their outside space.

One of the many highlights will be a spectacular ‘walk-round’ feature of Dahlias and fruit and vegetables by Jon Wheatley, in association with Winchester Growers. Jon helped design the gold medal-standard RHS feature, Home Grown, at Hampton and won gold medals at Hampton and RHS Chelsea for magnificent dahlia displays.

Another Chelsea 2010 Gold-medal winner, Interflora, will create a vast, show-stopping curtain of autumn flowers and foliage draped spectacularly from the ceiling.
