Madinat Jumeirah Resort

Resort features include: various types of five star accommodation incorporating 940 rooms and suites, a fully equipped convention center, a cultural village, the largest spa and fitness centre in the region and a tradional trading Souq as well as an extensive range of restuarants and dining facilities.

The various aspects of the resort are connected by 3km of waterways, offering fully operational abras (water taxis). The construction of the Madinat Jumeirah resort, located in Dubai, was begun in 2002 and was finished in early 2004. The development was expected to cost $340m. It is operated by Jumeirah International.

The resort covers 40ha of land, featuring two five-star hotels: Port Al. Salam and Al. Qasr. It is located adjacent to Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, stretching across 1km of the Jumeirah beach. Due to its close proximity to the three flagship hotels in Dubai, it should benefit from their worldwide recognition. It is a fully themed complex, incorporating the history and culture of the region.
