Advanced Practical Course in Gastric Bypass 2017

GSD Healthcare is targeting medical and healthcare professionals from the whole GCC and Middle Eastern region to provide high quality, accredited courses in a multitude of medical, surgical and healthcare management topics. First of its kind, unique training course at GSD Training, which encompasses all aspects of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, from pre-operative evaluation to continued patient lifestyle management. The first part of the course is dedicated to illustrating the general aspects of the bariatric surgery, its eligibility criteria, the profile of the ideal candidate, the surgical peculiarities and the mechanisms of action which determine weight loss in morbidly obese patients. Then, the course focuses on Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass showing its technical aspects of execution and analyzing its advantages/limitations. The second part of the course takes place in front of laparoscopic simulators, where thanks to special software, each participant must reproduce some surgical steps of Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass.
