India has just witnessed the successful auction of 3G & BWA spectrum in the country & Indian operators are reviewing their strategy and looking at the possibility of leapfrogging straight to the 4G technology. Long Term Evolution (LTE) will be the next generation wireless technology that will lead the growth of mobile broadband services in the country and reach into the top level. LTE Summit 2011 invites all the leading industry leaders to gather, collaborate and discuss how this technology will boost the Indian mobile broadband penetration. LTE will allow operators to introduce new and exciting services such as HD (high definition) video blogging, HD video on demand, media mobility, online gaming, and brings a significantly improved business proposition with 2.5 times higher capacity, lower cost per bit and media mobility. LTE allows more data to be transferred over the same bandwidth used by 3G technology and at higher speeds. Compared with the 3 Mbps speed offered by 3G services, LTE offers speeds of up to 10 Mbps. According to an industry report, the LTE subscribers are expected to reach 300 million by 2015 as compared to the 5 million. In India, everything is ready for LTE (Long Term Evolution) and Operators are getting ready to launch commercial LTE services to provide premium mobile broadband services to their customers. Also 2011 is expected to be declared the year of the LTE as it is gearing up for a widespread rollout by operators in the country.
