IAPH World Ports Conference 2015

Following tradition, conference participants enjoyed the hospitality of the host of the next IAPH World Ports Conference in 2015. The Hanseatic City of Hamburg invited its guests to the Space Shuttle Pavilion to celebrate a “Hamburg Night” at the California Science Center.

Here, guests were treated to a gala dinner while sitting beneath a “ship” of the special kind - the “spaceship” Endeavour. The space shuttle was named after the ship the famous seafarer, James Cook, sailed onboard on his first voyage of discovery. With the scene of the city of Hamburg in the background visitors went on a first discovery tour through the port of Hamburg.
