The Union of audiologist Association (UHA for short) was born on 11 September 1960 in Würzburg and was founded 25 years under the direction of Dr. phil. nat. Werner Pistor, Eutin. The "German Hörmittelring eV" (founded in June 1952) and the "German Association Hörmittelhändler eV" (founded January 1957) implemented in the context of a merger took place continues its tradition of UHA.
Due to the ever increasing legislative activity of the European Union (EU), the Union of the hearing care professional association in its general meeting on 15 October 2003, the name changed to "European Union of Hearing Care Association" decided.
