Our annual event celebrating health and digital innovations will provide an opportunity to learn more about business-university partnership opportunities (placements, short courses, contract research, etc.) within the Faculty of Science and Technology across our departments of Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Psychology, Computer Science, and Engineering. This will not only include displays of past and current projects undertaken in collaboration with business, but also student projects of direct relevance to or involving external organisations. The event will start with a plenary session introduced by Dame Karen Dunnell (University of Westminster Governor, previously National Statistician and Chief Executive of the Office of National Statistics), a keynote talk “Key opportunities for digital innovation in the NHS” by Nigel Edwards (Chief Executive of the Nuffield Trust), and short presentations of some our innovative health and digital research applications with our industry partners. This will be followed by a market place exhibition and reception between 6.30pm and 8.00pm attended by senior figures from the Faculty, the University, and Industry. This will be a great opportunity to meet academic staff and students working in an area of Science and Technology relevant to your business, as well as colleagues from small, medium, and large enterprises, professional bodies, funding bodies, and other organisations such as the NHS, central government bodies and local authorities.
