Rimini is a city with 146,606 residents in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy and capital city of the Province of Rimini. Founded by the Romans in 268 BC, Rimini boasts a 2,000-year history that has left important marks testifying to its grandeur. In the 19th century, Rimini was one of the most active cities in the revolutionary front, hosting many of the movements intended at the unification of Italy.
