East Mediterranean Tourism & Travel Exhibition 2015

In the coming year, between January 22nd – 25th, 2015, with the support of the Turkish Republic’s Culture and Tourism Department, in partnership with TUROFED (Turkey Hoteliers Federation), TYD (Tourism Investment Association), sponsored by the THY Corporation and organized by the EKIN- ITE Group, the EMITT Exhibition will be held for the fifteenth time. In 2014, the exhibition attracted 4500 participants from 71 countries and almost completely filled the available rooms at the TÜYAP Exhibition space.

At the EMITT exhibition, attended by 63.230 tourism professionals and 73.500 visitors hailing from 71 countries for a total of 136.730 people, all of Turkey’s eminent travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, plus over 200 cities and hundreds of participants from 71 countries prepared for the 2014 season.

The EMITT Exhibition, open to tourism professionals during the first two days and open to the public during the last two, is the only exhibition in the region that, despite the economic crisis, increased 25% compared to the prior year in 2012 and 10% compared to the prior year in 2013. EMITT’s continual and pleasing growth over the past 5 years encouraged the management of the exhibition space, and TÜYAP has already finished constructing 3 large new rooms. Now EMITT would be using those 3 new rooms in addition to the other rooms during EMITT’s 2013 exhibition. So total number of rooms would be 11 in 2014.
