Bunker Fuel Blending Technology & Economics 2014

This two-day course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview and discussion of bunker fuel blending techniques, technology and cost/benefits. It addresses profitable blendstock selection,low sulfur fuels (1% and 0.1%), ECA’s, potential use of low sulfur, highly paraffinic crudes such as Light Tight Oils (LTO) either blended with IFO or used directly as fuel, scrubbers and their economics, and compatibility and sludging issues when blending paraffinic blendstocks with high asphaltene blendstocks. Case studies are used to illustrate the relative importance of each aspect of the bunker fuel blending operation, together with specific exercises.
