On June 27 – 29, 2014, Congress Centre in Prague will be the venue of the 5th meeting „Uremic toxins and Cardiovascular Disease".

Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of mortality in patients with chronic kidney disease and especially end-stage renal disease. Recently great attention has been paid to the better understanding of the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease in renal patients and to the identification of its biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets.

Meeting „Uremic toxins and Cardiovascular Disease“ has a long tradition and previous meetings were hosted by Oxford, Wuerzburg, Amiens and Groningen. The meeting in Prague was also approved as a CME course and obtained support of ERA/EDTA and will be also endorsed by the Czech Society of Nephrology and the Czech Kidney Foundation.

Except for the official programme there will be also a poster session with the opportunity to discuss the recent research achievement with the leading experts in the field of cardiorenal disease.
