Twenty years after EACTA 1992 in Maastricht, the EACTA Annual Congress is again organized in the Netherlands. During these 20 years, the field of cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care has radically changed. Cardiac patients as well as cardiac interventions are now far more complicated than ever before.
