The first masters course in yarn specialisation.
The second “Feel the Yarn” competition for aspiring knitwear stylists and the first masters course in yarn specialisation is attracting increasing numbers of international students and entails a busy course programme.

 Promoted by Toscana Promozione, Tuscany’s agency for economic promotion and the ICE (the national Institute for Foreign Trade) in collaboration with the yarn promotion consortium CPF and Pitti Immagine, Feel the Yarn continues its training project with the aim of expanding the potential creativity of yarns by the most qualified Tuscan yarn spinners with prestigious international fashion and design schools. 21 young fashion designers from 7 international fashion schools present 63 garments made with yarns by 13 Tuscan companies. 

The articles will be showcased at Pitti Filati from 5 to 7 July 2011. “From Shadow to Light” is the theme of this competition that represents stimulating research into paths of light and shade, chiaroscuro, black and white.
