Middle East SME Forum 2011

Middle East has taken a major step towards the development of the small and medium enterprises (SME) sector by introducing a more approaches for backing them financially. Many banks and government institutions are coming ahead to support these SMEs and create better means of economic growth.

With government backed funding and support towards the promotion of entrepreneurship / SMEs, there are still certain challenges and opportunities for each entity related to SMEs. Each government looks into the promotion of SME support to the local population whereas the expatriate population across many GCC states have played a significant role in the grooming of the region’s economy.
