March 22 - 25, 2012
We are proud to announce that the 2nd Latin America Congress on Controversies to Consensus in Diabetes, Obesity and Hypertension (CODHy) will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2012.

The three World CODHy Congresses that took place in Europe were the first international scientific meetings of their kind, focusing on dynamic topics and controversial issues facing the clinician today.

The success of the first World CODHy Congresses made way for the 1st Latin America CODHy Congress which was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2010. This Congress was devoted to locally oriented, evidence-based discussions amongst chairpersons, speakers and the audience. The 1st Latin America CODHy Congress was a vibrant academic event with a regional focus and attracted approximately 2000 participants from 52 countries.

The 2nd Latin America CODHy Congress will also be locally oriented and will focus on typical and classical topics in diabetes, obesity and hypertension, related to the region in terms of epidemiology, genetics, diagnostics, typical complications and distinctive responses to treatments. Allowing ample time for speaker-audience discussion, the Congress aims at reaching up-to-date and agreed-upon answers to ongoing debates, through evidence-based medicine and expert opinion. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in this stimulating meeting which will facilitate discussions on the shared experiences and opinions of leading local and international experts.

This Congress will provide a broad stage for oral presentations from the regional population. Central debates on the various relevant issues will also be translated into the languages: Portuguese, Spanish and English, thereby providing professionals with a better understanding of the discussions.
