The Media Festival is an industry conference and networking event for everyone working across digital media and grappling with the rapid pace of industry change. Launched in 2008 it has featured some of the most exciting names in media, including Erik Huggers, Controller Future Media and Technology, BBC, Daniel Ek, Founder, Spotify, Thomas Gensemer, Founder, Blue State Digital, Dawn Airey, CEO, Five and many more.
The Media Festival attracts hundreds of delegates from across music, TV, film, games, mobile, online and technology including firms such as Sky, Sony Music, Red Bull, Ogilvy, Channel 4, EMI, Lime Pictures, Disney, Google, Comic Relief, Ragdoll, MCFC, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, BBC and many more.The Media Festival takes place in Manchester over 2.5 days, and features keynotes, panels, workshops, networking events and fun!
The Media Festival is the only event that addresses the creative and commercial realities faced by the digital content industries covering games, music, TV, film, mobile, online and beyond. Now in its third year, it aims to debunk digital myths, demystify digital business models and develop new ways of working, new collaborations and new approaches to the business of content creation and distribution.
