The outlook for southern Africa’s trade with the rest of the world is good, now that Africa has quit the recession – far faster than many western economies.

Africa’s trade with the BRICs has risen fourfold in the last 15 years and the region is forging ever closer links with the emerging Asian nations. And yet, somehow southern Africa has often been left out of international dialogue about the new world trade dynamic.
Why? And why isn’t southern Africa more like Asia?

This conference looks at where southern African treasurers fit into the South-South discussion, and analyses ways to navigate the impact of forex swings. How can you sculpt your cash flow profile to best advantage? What are the funding options in the new banking environment? And how can you manage trapped funds throughout Africa?

The first World Cup on the African continent gave the world a vision of the vibrancy of South Africa in particular. Here southern African treasurers showcase their own leadership, ability to manage risk and good governance. This 5th annual conference will assist companies looking externally and foreign MNCs moving into southern Africa or growing in this region of enormous possibilities.
