March 22 - 24, 2011    Stuttgart , Germany
Between 23 and 25 March 2010, around 150 companies (62 the previous year) presented their products and services. Exhibits included samples of complex plastic injection-moulded parts, and of products made from a variety of metals. Suppliers of raw materials and semi-finished goods showcased a range of advanced materials technology, and consultant designers and engineers spotlighted their specialist skills.

The international show for medical device manufacturing, MEDTEC Europe, as well as 3C Europe (cleanroom technology) and RapidWorld, were held at the same time as SÜDTEC and many of the 13,000 visitors who registered for these events made their way to SÜDTEC.

Southern Germany is Europe’s single largest manufacturing region. Within just three hours drive of Stuttgart are a multitude of major global players such as Bosch and Siemens. Over one million people are employed in manufacturing industries throughout Southern Germany.

Manufacturers in the region profit from a highly developed supplier infrastructure and close links with internationally renowned universities and technical centres. They also profit from the availability of an advanced supply chain of companies able to undertake specialist design and manufacturing work on their behalf.

This sub-contract sector, which is comprised mainly of both German and foreign small to medium sized businesses, thrives in the heart of Europe’s major technology region.

SüdTec provides such companies with a forum to display to their key clients from a range of OEM industries.
