Paris Book Fair 2010

For thirty years, the Paris Book Fair has been carrying the quality and standard of French publishing to the very summit. Alternately revered, shunned and criticized, it is nevertheless Europe’s leading cultural consumer exhibition.
The property of publishers and their associative body, the Syndicat National de l'Edition, the fair has always asserted its status as a reflection of the market, revealing talent and spotlighting ALL the authors and EVERY category of book.
For smaller publishing houses, the Paris Book Fair is also a guarantee of exposure, while at the same time furthering cultural diversity.
But the fair has to evolve as well, by being as near as it can to developments in forms of reading, and promoting the expressions of those changes in its special event areas.
