4th Annual Collision Avoidance in Mining Conference and Exhibition
Advancing mature, evidence based approaches to collision avoidance, improving operator awareness and fatigue management

Our key focus points for this year will be:

An exploration of evidence based practice in technology implementation and design, calling upon datalogging around risks and incidents and user feedback to inform the review of approaches to collision avoidance.
Increased examination of fatigue management, in light of the high level of high potential and fatal incidents relating to fatigue in the last year
The role of operator error in collision incidents and the impacts of safety technology on collision risk due to operator behaviour
Quite a few years down the track since their initial inception, we will examine the current state of proximity detection and collision avoidance technology development and implementation approaches which have been rolled out and their impacts on mine safety.
