Pressure vessels are designed to operate safely at a particular pressure and temperature known as the “Design Pressure” and the “Design Temperature”. A vessel that’s inadequately designed or maintained might not be able to handle the pressure it is supposed to thus, it’ll present an extremely significant safety hazard. Therefore it is important that the codes stated by ASME must be strictly regulated to avoid potential disasters and also minimize wasted energy. Design, repairs and inspection of these vessels must be taken seriously as not only will the vessel itself prove a threat, but the gases it supposed to contain as well.
