July 1 - 3, 2013
Process simulation for natural gas conditioning and processing has become an essential tool for oil & gas operators and engineering firms. Knowledge on how to increase the efficiency of the process engineering will enhance the productivity and profit, meanwhile, decreasing potential wastage and reducing the risk due to leakage and emergency circumstances. Simulators can better support process design, debottlenecking and optimization when used to their full potential. This learning opportunity will provide process engineers with an ideal setting to familiarize and improve themselves with the most widely used simulators in the industry (Unisim DesignTM and Aspen HYSYSTM). A number of computer modeling strategies will be reviewed as well as integration of the software to process engineering workflows in the Natural Gas Processing sector.

In this 3 day course, we will cover the basics of simulation tools and then explore characterization of gas and condensates, gas/liquid separation, compression, heat exchange, fractionation, gas transmission, dew point control, dehydration, gas sweetening, and case studies. We will also briefly discuss flare systems, pumps, utilities and emissions and environmental issues. Trial version of Unisim Design will be provided on the first day of the workshop and delegates are required to bring their own laptop.

MAJOR BENEFITS OF ATTENDING – YOU’LL LEARN TO
REINFORCE the fundamentals of natural gas processing
